Ghostbusters improv

Okay, I smiled SO HARD at this. LOVE.

Color Me Katie is such an uplifting and positive blog. She participates with something called Improv Everywhere where they do crazy/fun things and video them. In this one, people dress up like ghosts and go through the NY Public library and then the Ghostbusters come in and try to capture them. Go to the site to watch the video, it will make your day.

full weekend

I did a lot, was lonely, spent a lot, and enjoyed the weather this weekend. I took some slow steps to figuring out how to be friends with my ex, and got props for my writing. So overall good, but there was definitely periods of alone time that got kinda well, lonely.

But that's not why I'm posting. I MUST go to bed, so I won't post photos now of all the loot I got at the Spring Bada-Bing (lame name, cool organizer--the Richmond Craft Mafia (much better name).

Got rings made out of buttons, cool photos, a possible purchase of a real art piece, a sunglasses case, art for my friend's birthday, and a blingy belt buckle.

Here's a fun site I read, they have original art, cool photos, drawings, and music, including this video I've never heard of but enjoyed.

sing dinosaur

This is funny because of the singing Brachiosaurus. It also reminds me a bit of the Loch Ness Monster, which makes me sad, because there will probably be no more dramatic readings of THE ORM.

Stop Motion

Found this enchanting stop-motion video from Nectar & Light. Clearly I really do want to be a redhead.

Angela Kohler's photography is amazing.

The Oracle says

I'm a little creeped out that the upgrade of our content management system is now called "Oracle" in red letters (in the same font as Honda, I might add).

------------
I love Cake Wrecks. If you haven't read them, you are not my friend. Go. Go now to the last post. The Oracle says so. Wait for the last bit, it's the best.
------------
At work, there's a quote on event flier at work by Winston Churchill:

You make a living by what you get. You make a life by what you give.
Every time I see that, I start singing the "You Get What You Give" song by the New Radicals.

The singer is bad at lip-syncing.

Ukelele in crochet

Found this from my friend's blog Snippets & Snapshots.

So cute, awfully realistic, and the music is good too! Apparently there's a whole series of vidoes on You Tube. I'm watching them now.

Sliding cars

Found this from Your Team, which I found from HeyItsPhil.

Your Team cleverly noted that watching this was like being in your very own pinball machine.

Sunshine and happiness surround you when you're far from

Blogger Liebemarlene Vintage (I almost wrote, "my friend", even though I don't know her. The blogs I've been reading everyday feel like real friends) posted the most lovely video and I just had to link to it. Her boyfriend Drew filmed it. She likes to go on adventures to antique shops, historic sites, and countrysides in her state of Georgia, and often takes photographs, but this is the first video. I watched it just now on my lunch break and got lost in it for a few minutes. I didn't want it to end. It is so dreamy and warm. I just wanted to curl up and take a nap out there in that sunlight.

Rob Lowe rides a chair

I love Rob Lowe. He is on my short list of people whose babies I'd want to have (and I don't really want to have babies).

He never ages, plays a Democrat as well as Republican, and makes me swoon.

He was on The Ellen Show, and she plays some pranks on him. Only happiness can ensue:

Shoe porn

Christian Louboutin did a short video as advertisement. The beginning mirrors the movie, Psycho, but the end is lovely and sparkly. Here are my 2 favorite screen shots.

This would so be me, in heaven amongst a pile of sparkly, shiny Louboutins.

In Sync

This is so well done. The opening is unique with the props, but the good part is a bit of the way in where the partner dancing starts. The dancers are completely in-sync with each other. They are so toned. It's remarkable. The costumes really allow us to see the entire body and the movement of it.

Mesmerizing beat

I don't post videos often. I'm not a big video watcher, so when I do, it means it really impressed me. I was mesmerized while watching this.

The flamenco dancers were an unusual choice, but they fit perfectly with the propelling beat of the music. Wearing all black is also unusual to see on a dancer of this kind. And at the end, it was fantastical as well. So good

MTV Awards

Remember when they were good?

I don't know why Blogger doesn't allow embedded videos, or perhaps I haven't figured it out yet. Anyway, I found this performance by Michael Jackson from Suicide Blonde. I guess there was lip-synching even back in '95, but he makes up for it with the dancing. And the moonwalk, it is so good. Slash plays with him for a bit, but my favorite is the group dancing at the end. There should be more choreographed group dancing in the world.
